Good morning! Isn’t everyone looking forward to spring…flowers, warm breezes and pretty colors. I know I am so for my Jewel Loom project this month I pulled out a multi-colored mix of 6/0 seed beads and got to work! Just working with these beauties made my heart sing and of course working on the Jewel Loom made it even better!!!

PM Leather Cuff1

When I started the Jewel Loom process I wasn’t quite sure where I was headed, which is not unusual. I warped the Jewel Loom with White Beadalon Wildfire thread, 9 threads for 8 beads.

As I was progressing I was thinking through how I was going to finish this piece. My eyes fell upon a brass cuff I’ve been saving and I knew what I wanted to create. Out came a piece of leather from my scrap pile and a tube of E6000. I realized that I wanted to hide the white warp threads as much as I could so I went back and created an edge with size 11/0 black seed beads and black Beadalon Black thread.

Here is my completed Jewel Loom Seed Bead Leather Cuff and I couldn’t be happier!
